Artist Assistant/Videographer (full-time, 20-25k)
THAF is seeking an artist assistant/videographer for Yuan Gong, THAF's Director. The role involves project managing/assisting the production of Yuan Gong’s artistic practice and documenting his works. The position is based across in London and Troy House, Wales (accommodation provided).
Yuan Gong (b. 1962, Shanghai) is a Chinese contemporary artist. He has obtained a PhD degree in theory of art at the Chinese National Academy of Arts in 2012, but has immersed himself within Chinese contemporary art since the 1990s. He is a multi-faceted artist playing at the interface of conceptual art, performance and fine arts. He has previously exhibited at China8 at the Muelheim Art Museum, “Voice of the Unseen” of the 55th Venice Biennale, and China Pavilion of the 54th Venice Biennale.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage Yuan Gong’s artistic production and documentation of works

Project managing/overseeing the documentation process

Filming video campaigns
-
Order and test camera/lighting equipment

Assist in academic research and contextual components of artworks

General assistance in operational tasks
REQUIREMENTS
-
Have a degree in preferably majoring in Moving Image, Visual Art or related subjects;

Ability to conceptualize ideas and transform into 2D /3D environments;

Be proficient in video software including Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premier Pro, and Final Cut Pro;

Be proficient in photography and videography;

Advanced knowledge of technical specifications and equipment;

Excellent command of verbal and written skills in BOTH Chinese & English;

Independent, detail-oriented, and well-organised with good translation skills;

Proof of eligibility to work in the UK

Must possess a full clean driving license to travel between Wales and London
