Data protection declaration 

 

The Troy House Art Foundation takes data protection seriously and attaches great importance to the protection of your personal rights. We undertake to comply with the statutory data protection regulations and use technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.) from unauthorized access, misuse, destruction and loss. We strive to continuously improve our security measures in line with technological developments. 

Legal basis
Your data may only be processed to the extent permitted by special laws or if you have given your consent. As a public body, we are subject to the UK Data Protection Act 2018.  The subject of data protection is personal data. 

Processing of personal data
We only use your personal data for the purpose for which it was collected (e.g. answering inquiries, registering for guided tours and workshops, sending information material, sending the newsletter, participation in competitions, order inquiries in the online shop). This data will be deleted immediately after the process has been completed or after the statutory retention period has expired. The data entered in the online forms for the newsletter will be stored until further notice. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. All persons working for us are obliged to maintain data secrecy. In addition, regular training courses on data protection take place in the Troy House Art Foundation. 

Access logging
Every time a user accesses the website of the Troy House Art Foundation and every time a file is called up, data about this process is temporarily stored in a log file and processed. The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes to improve our information offer. At irregular intervals, the logged data is evaluated internally by employees of the Troy House Art Foundation, eg accesses during an exhibition. The evaluation is not user-related, ie the Troy House Art Foundation does not create any personal user profiles, not even using pseudonyms (e.g. IP address). The data is also not merged with other data sources and therefore does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about specific persons.

Use of "Cookies": No cookies are used on this site. Some of the websites use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Web Analysis
This website is hosted by Wix. Wix uses so-called "cookies" - text files that are stored on your computer and enable a statistical analysis of the use of the website. The data is stored anonymously on a UK server owned by the provider. The IP address is anonymized before it is saved and cannot be used to identify individuals. The data stored by Profihost is not linked to other data sources or passed on to third parties. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. 

E-mail 
If you send an e-mail to the Troy House Art Foundation, your personal data will only be used for correspondence with you. The Troy House Art Foundation does not currently use any encryption technology. We would therefore like to point out that data transmission over the Internet is unencrypted, ie unsecured, and that the data transmitted can therefore be read or falsified by unauthorized persons during the transmission process. 

Contact and newsletter
To contact you or to register for the newsletter, we need your e-mail address and, if necessary, other information. This information is only used internally, treated confidentially and not passed on to third parties. This information is transmitted in encrypted form. The homepage of theTroy House Art Foundation contains links to the websites of other providers, eg map material from Google Maps, advertising banners, videos, RSS feeds, graphics, various art links. These are checked with regard to their content before the link is set. However, the Kunsthalle Rostock is not responsible for the content of these external sites, since it did not arrange for the transmission of the information, did not select the addressee of the transmitted information and did not select or change the transmitted information. We would like to point out that the linked external websites usually contain their own data protection regulations over which the Troy House Art Foundation has no influence.

Social Media 
The Troy House Art Foundation maintains fan pages on Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Instagram and YouTube. The links to these fan sites are marked on our homepage. When you visit these fan sites, your browser establishes a direct connection to their servers. Please note that data processing by Facebook in particular takes place outside the legal area of ​​the European Union. The Troy House Art Foundation has no influence on the extent of the data collected by Facebook/Instagram, nor on the way in which the data is processed by Facebook/Instagram. Even if you are not a member of Facebook/Instagram, there is still the possibility that Facebook/Instagram will find out and store your IP address. Netiquette applies to communication on our social networks.

Protection of minors 
Children and persons under the age of 18 should not transmit any personal data to us without the consent of their parents or guardians. We do not solicit, collect, or share personal information from children without parental consent.

The Troy House Art Foundation reserves the right to adapt the data protection declaration in accordance with technical developments and changed legal framework conditions. The current status of this data protection declaration can be found at the end of the declaration. 

Right to information and right of withdrawal
You will receive information about your data stored by us free of charge at any time and without giving reasons. You can have the data we have collected corrected or deleted at any time. You can also revoke your consent to data collection and use at any time without giving reasons. To do this, please use the contact address given in the imprint.
