The Troy House Art Foundation takes data protection seriously and attaches great importance to the protection of your personal rights. We undertake to comply with the statutory data protection regulations and use technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.) from unauthorized access, misuse, destruction and loss. We strive to continuously improve our security measures in line with technological developments.
Your data may only be processed to the extent permitted by special laws or if you have given your consent. As a public body, we are subject to the UK Data Protection Act 2018. The subject of data protection is personal data.
Processing of personal data
We only use your personal data for the purpose for which it was collected (e.g. answering inquiries, registering for guided tours and workshops, sending information material, sending the newsletter, participation in competitions, order inquiries in the online shop). This data will be deleted immediately after the process has been completed or after the statutory retention period has expired. The data entered in the online forms for the newsletter will be stored until further notice. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. All persons working for us are obliged to maintain data secrecy. In addition, regular training courses on data protection take place in the Troy House Art Foundation.
Every time a user accesses the website of the Troy House Art Foundation and every time a file is called up, data about this process is temporarily stored in a log file and processed. The storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes to improve our information offer. At irregular intervals, the logged data is evaluated internally by employees of the Troy House Art Foundation, eg accesses during an exhibition. The evaluation is not user-related, ie the Troy House Art Foundation does not create any personal user profiles, not even using pseudonyms (e.g. IP address). The data is also not merged with other data sources and therefore does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about specific persons.
The following are logged:
Name of the retrieved file
Date and time of retrieval
Amount of data transferred
Access status (file transferred, file not found, command not executed, etc.)
Referrer (a referrer is the Internet address of the website from which the user clicked on a link reached the Kunsthalle website, such as search engines or other pages used)
